Selecting Your Child’s Eyewear
Are you having trouble selecting the right pair of glasses for your child? When you walk into an optics store, you will have a variety of eyeglasses to choose from. You will probably even select a couple but may not know which one to decide on. What should your purchase depend on? Should you buy a pair based on durability or do you just grab the most fashionable children’s eyeglass frames? There are a few things you need to consider when doing this.
Part-time or Full-time Eyewear
Children in need of a pair of glasses are either nearsighted or farsighted. The eye doctor will suggest part time or full-time wear of eyeglasses based on the extent of visual correction necessary. Kids who are in dire need of immediate correction might need to wear eye glasses all the time while others may only need to wear them while doing school work.
Your eye doctor may suggest a few suitable eye frames for your child. However, most of the time, you will have to be the decision maker. You may either resort to your child’s choice or just buy a pair you think would best suit them.
