Eye Exam in Calgary

Importance of Comprehensive Eye Exams:

Annual eye and vision exams are important in preventing optical health issues. A variety of vision problems can go undetected without the proper medical attention as they don’t have any visible symptoms. By taking a comprehensive eye exam on a yearly basis, you are promoting your eye health and allowing early diagnosis and treatment to take place if the onset of an ocular disease arises. As you get older, your eyes are more prone to developing conditions and diseases you might not be aware of. Early detection through comprehensive eye exams can stop a condition from progressing and allow you to receive the adequate treatment you need.

If you are a new patient, our doctors make sure to go over your ocular history and ask you about any vision problems you are currently having or may have had in the past. Your overall health will be a topic of discussion, in addition to going over your work-related conditions that could have an impact on your eye health.

A comprehensive eye exam will include the following tests: visual acuity, preliminary tests, keratometry, refraction, eye focusing, eye teaming, eye movement testing, eye health evaluation, and supplemental testing.
